Semester 2, Week 12 - Stand Up to Cancer

It was a wonderful night last Thursday meeting all of the parents, family members, and guardians that took the time to visit us for Parent/Teacher Interviews. We appreciate your interest, support, and we will work together to serve the best interests of your children/young adults.

As we wrap up the month April, the Stand Up to Cancer Club is selling daffodil pins all week in the atrium. The daffodil pin is a symbol of strength and courage. It states that we will fight against cancer and we will win! The money raised in the sale of these pins will be donated to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Upcoming Events for ELL:

May 14 - Arts Night (a 10 minute performance organized by MIC).

* We are looking or anyone interested in being part of the performance. We will begin practicing during A Lunch and Friday after school.

Semester 2 - Week 11 - Parent Teacher Interviews

We hope you had a wonderful Easter with your families.

We have a short but busy week ahead.

On Thursday we have Parent Teacher Interviews at the school from 5:30-8:30 pm.

MIC is starting to plan activities once again. We have a big cultural celebration planned during lunches on May 30th. Stay tuned!

Semester 2, Week 9 & 10 - Week 9 Recap and Holy Week

It was a busy week last week due to mid-term reports, and preparing for Holy Week this week.

It is Holy Week This week so that means there will be no classes on Friday April 18 because of Good Friday, and on Monday April 21st due to Easter Monday.

Mid-Term Reports will be distributed on Wednesday April 16.

Parent-Teacher Interviews will take place on Thursday April 24 and you can make appointments online from April 17-23.

Semester 2, Week 8 - Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

This is a big week for all involved in this year's school musical - Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

Many of our ELL students are part of the cast and are integral parts of the show.

The show goes on April 3, and April 4. Get your tickets and see a great show.

We also welcome many guests to our school this week. We hope you enjoy your time with us.

Semester 2, Week 7 - The OSSLT is this Thursday March 27th

Our big focus this week is the OSSLT, which takes place this coming Thursday March 27.

ELL Students who are scheduled to write, must see Mr Hospedales for extra help classes, and must report to Room 327 at 8:20 am on Thursday March 27th to write the OSSLT.

Semester 2, Week 6 - Welcome Back from the Break!

Welcome Back from the March Break!

We hope you are well rested and ready to for the rest of the year. Did you know that only 14 weeks remain until exams?

That time will fly by so make sure you are on top of all of your assignments and not falling behind. If you require assistance please visit us in Room 327 for help.

The OSSLT will be written on Thursday March 27.  ---- NEXT WEEK!!!!

All eligible students have been informed and should be attending the after school help sessions (Monday, Wednesday, Friday of this week, and Monday and Wednesday of next week).

Semester 2, Week 5 - March Break next week

With the March Break coming next week (March 7-16), you know this week will be busy.

Graduates, you have your Grad Photos taking place on Monday.

We have the Father McGivney Memorial Liturgy on Tuesday, followed by Ash Wednesday.

Our students and teacher leave for the Jamaica Service Mission Trip on Wednesday as well.

* For ELL Students writing the OSSLT (March 27), please see Mr Hospedales for an OSSLT package to work on during the break. Afterschool help/classes will resume when you return to class on Monday March 17.
