The Final Week of Semester 1 - 2013

Welcome to the final week of Semester 1.

This means one thing ---- Study Hard!

This is not the time for video games, partying, hanging out at the mall, or any other time wasting activities. A little sacrifice and discipline now will cause less heartache later. You should always aim to give it your best.

For some of you exams begin today, and then most of you will have start your exams sometime this week or when the Formal Exam schedule begins on Friday.

Be aware that they are calling for some kind of snowstorm to be here by Friday, but things can change from now until then. In my 16+ years at FMM, the school has never closed due to a snowstorm. The public the TTC and YRT is always in service I don't expect it to change. Be prepared to come in to write your exams that day if you are scheduled to do so. Do not expect to be bailed out by a snowstorm. Leave your home earlier than usual if you are concerned.

In case severe weather comes, the re-write day is January 31st. But as I stated, I've never seen that happen.

Best of luck with your exams - make sure to come in full school uniform - and see you at the start of Semester 2 on February 4.

Semester 1, Week 15

Our big ELL event this week is Wednesday's Annual ELL Christmas Potluck Lunch.

Please remember to sign up (if you haven't don't so already) and bring your items to Room 327 (between 8 - 8:25 am). We are looking forward to another outstanding time and great food. If you are unable to make something, please see Mr. Hospedales and donate cash so he can pick up something for you -- quite a few students have done this already.

The lunch will occur in Room 327 during period 3 only! If students have tests or important class activities that they need to be in class for, they can attend during their scheduled lunch period but must return to class.

See you Wednesday and have a great week!
