Thanks CICS Canada

We would like to thank Janice Tsoi and her staff from CICS Canada for paying us a visit yesterday.

Students were informed about the new Immigrant Youth Centre that will open in Markham (McCowan and Hwy 7), were asked for their thoughts on the new centre and were treated to a pizza lunch.

Students were made aware of many volunteer opportunities and services that the centre will provide.

Here is Janice's contact information.

Semester 1 Report Cards

Parents/Guardians,

Report Cards were distributed to all Father McGivney students on Friday February 6th.

However, due to a computer printing problem, some of the students may not have received their report cards, or there might have been some minor errors on the cards they received. These students will receive their report cards today.

Please feel free to contact the school if you have questions or have not seen the your child's report card.

Students, have a great week!

A Historic Day!

Just before noon today, a very important historical moment occurred as Barack Obama became the new President of the United States of America. It wasn't too long ago when people of colour were segregated in the USA so today was HUGE! Let's hope and wish him all the best as he goes forth to make a significant and lasting impact.

Many of our students gathered around TV screens, computers, and radios to watch and listen to all of the live coverage. Today was a day they will not forget.
Students, you are reminded to continue reviewing and studying for your exams. Many of you start writing exams tomorrow so make sure you are on time, that you bring all your required materials (textbooks, calculators, pens, pencils, erasers, etc.).
Good luck!!

One Week Left to Go

The last day of semester one is in exactly one week. This means that all students should have started reviewing their course material for exams. Many will have in-class exams next week so time is of the essence. Make sure you use your time wisely!

Students, feel free to drop by Room 327 for extra help.

Good luck on your exams!
